If you're looking for date night ideas that will make you sweat, compete, AND still be friends at the end of the night, Activate Atlanta is the place for you. Activate Atlanta just opened Fall 2023 in Buckhead. You can go with just you and bae or you can do a group date night. Up to 10 players can participate in one game. No need to keep score here. You're given a digital bracelet that tracks your points for all the games. They even have a photo booth. There's no food or drinks to purchase so come full or prepare to grab a bite to eat afterwards. Don't walk, run to make reservations!

Game Show Battle Rooms
Have you ever wanted to be on a game show? Well, now is your chance. Game Show Battle Rooms gives you the chance to re-enact popular games shows on TV. When I tell you that we had so much fun!! This would make a great double or triple date idea. There's no food here, but Politan Row food hall is right next door. You can grab food and drinks before you head over to Game Show Battle Rooms.

When I saw that Putt Shack was opening a location in downtown Atlanta, I was super excited. I could not wait for this fun date night. The IT geek in me loved the use of technology. You scan your ball and attach it to your account. Each course knew when it was your ball on the course, and the system keeps track of the score for you. Putt Shack offers four different courses you can play. There's a full food and drink menu if you want to take a break in between sessions (service can be a little slow). Depending on the day you go, there's a DJ. Reservations are a must. Puttshack is a great place for an indoor date night in Atlanta.
Fowling Warehouse
At Fowling Warehouse, this date night idea is a mix of football plus bowling. This date night can be with bae or a group date as well. The set up is similar to cornhole. There's two boards opposite of each other. Bowling pins sit on top of the boards. Instead of throwing bean bags, you're throwing a football to knock over the pins. Fowling Warehouse have food and drinks available to purchase should you want to take a break during games. Add this to your list of indoor date night ideas.

If you're looking for another competitive date night, you should definitely check out Your 3rd Spot. It gives you island vibes with tons to do. Flight Club Atlanta, located near the Interlock, is a fun date night idea for those who like or are interested in playing darts. The vibe is ver cozy but can definitely be a group date night too. You have your own private bay when a device that gives you different options to play darts. Think Top Golf, but with darts. There is food and drinks available for purchase. If you plan to go during the weekend, reservations are a must!

Learning to cook a dish can be a fun way to do something new with bae. Bonus if you're a sushi lover. I took a sushi making class with CocuSocial held at Reverb Hotel RT 60 rooftop. The views of Atlanta with music made for a romantic date night.

Taking a charcuterie class would be a great first date night idea in Atlanta. You both get to learn something new while snacking and sipping wine. I took a class with The Bougie Grazer and boy did I have a ball making charcuterie board. All the materials, a DJ and wine were included in the cost of the class.

Andretti
If you're looking to get your adrenaline pumping, then Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is for you. Andretti is a great date night spot for all the couples who love doing fun activities. They have an indoor track with go karts that goes faster than the average karts. Andretti also offers VR and arcade games, laser tag, and bowling. If you need a break, you can grab food and drinks as well.
Ellis Station Candle Making Class
If you love making things and doing things with your hands, this date night idea would be perfect for you. I took a class with Ellis Station Candle Co. The instructor explained everything in detail and aided you along the way if you needed additional help. While your candle is cooling, there's some restaurants nearby to grab a bit. It will take 45minutes to a hour before your candle is ready.
Museum of Illusions
The Museum of Illusions is a fun place where you can go to take fun pictures. I loved how you can create different illusions by altering various elements. You can walk in or make a reservation.

Studio WIP offers a unique way of doing paint and sip classes. At first I was a little nervous because I had been to several painting classes before. Boy was I wrong. I actually thought this was way easier and if you made any mistakes, it was very easy to fix it. Another favorite, BYOB!

If you’re looking for fun day dates in Atlanta, then you need to go to the Georgia Aquarium Sips Under the Sea event. You can visit the aquarium after hours. Sips Under the Sea has themed events where there is a DJ, drinks, and food available while you look at all the exhibits. I did the VIP ticket that included a separate entrance and three drink tickets. I really loved how intimate this event was and my favorite part, no kids!
Slingshot Social
If you’re into playing arcade games, then Slingshot Social is the spot for you. They offer various arcade games and duck pin bowling. There’s a DJ, bar, and food. I really liked how you can order your own food from a walk up screen and get a text when your food is ready. Food options are limited. Mostly snack food like pizza and nachos. There were even games like Connect Four and Jenga to play at tables.
Frequency Friday at the High Museum of Art Atlanta
Every first Friday of the month, the High Museum of Art Atlanta hosts the Frequency Friday event. You get to walk around various art exhibits while listening to music from DJs. Think art museum party. Light snacks and drinks are available for purchase. It's an event that brings the people outside. This event sells out every month, so you have to grab tickets fast!

Located at The Battery, Good Game provides simulated virtual games to play while you enjoy food and drinks. I had a great time. They will get you active for sure! We played dodgeball, golf, and soccer. Reservations are a must especially during baseball season!

This date idea is for my artistic couples. The Splatter Studio allows you to paint a masterpiece in a non traditional way. They provide all the tools you will need. You get to throw, squirt, and dip paint. I really had a fun experience. My favorite activity was using the drip technique to paint my dog statue.
