Valentine’s Day is approaching. It can be a joyous time for some and not so much for others. Society focuses on this day being for couple. Each day in my book is what you make it. In this post, I going to show you 5 ways to treat yourself. Self-love and self-care is super important. You deserver your own version of happiness.

Treat Yourself
Buy something that’s been on your wishlist for awhile. I decided to treat myself with Prada Candy Perfume. I love to smell good. It boosts my confident levels significantly when I’m wearing a fragrance I like. If you love floral scents, this perfume is a must try.

Pamper Me Day
I love being pampered. It makes me feel special and important when I experience having someone cater to me. Book that massage, get your makeup done for no reason, and get a mani/pedi. I request candles when I’m getting massage. After a pamper day, I always feel relaxed and stress-free.

Meditation
Meditation helps keep my mind still. I have a lot on my plate and it’s easy for me to have a busy mind. One of the ways I like to meditate is through morning yoga. Yoga is very relaxing for me and I’m able to stretch out any kinks in my body.

Read a New Book
Read that book you never had time to read. I love to read. One of my biggest reason is because it provides a temporary escape from everyday life. I also enjoying learning new things. Some books on my read list are: Get Good with Money by Tiffany Aliche, The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna, Relationship Goals by Michael Todd, and BLOOD of a Poet: Expressions of a Man’s Soul by Garland Hampton.

Try a New Recipe
Due to my busy schedule, I rarely have time to try a new recipe. I always opt for something quick and simple or takeout. Take some time out and try something new. I’m always finding new recipes on Pinterest. I’m going to try a baked Teriyaki salmon recipe.
