Planning Your Visit

Tickets

I'm a VIP girly so you know I had VIP tickets to One Music Fest. They out did themselves with the VIP perks. VIP has a separate entry line that's much shorter than general admission, a bathroom trailer (no port-a-potty over here!), separate VIP viewing area of the stages, free water and non-alcoholic drinks.  Make sure you sign up for One Music Fest alerts so you know when tickets go on sale. The sooner you buy tickets, the cheaper they will be.

Airport

There's only one airport in Atlanta, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. It is one of the country's busiest airports, so be prepared for the hustle and bustle.

Hotel

Since One Music Fest happens downtown, you'd want to get a hotel in Midtown Atlanta. 2023 One Music Fest was held at Piedmont Park, so definitely pick a hotel close to the park. Traffic will be crazy and there's not a lot of parking. Your hotel should be walkable or a quick scooter ride to Piedmont Park. A good reference point for locating a hotel is Colony Square.

What to Bring

There will be water stations for you to refill your water bottle. It gets really hot. I mean HOT. I highly suggest you start hydrating a week before the festival. Also make sure your water bottle is empty when entering the festival!

I love my water bottle holder. Keeps me hands free so I could enjoy the festival.

Blanket or Portable Seat

OneMusic Fest is an all day festival. Your feet will get tired and you will want to rest for a bit. Having a blanket or portable sit will definitely come in handy.

Fanny Pack

Stay hands free and breeze through security with this fanny. If fanny packs aren't your thing, make sure you bring a small purse. The mini Telfar or a clear purse would make great alternatives.

Portable Fan

It will be hot, so pack a fan so you can cool off.

Hand Sanitizer

Keep your hands clean with sanitizer especially if you plan on eating in between sets.

Wireless Portable Charger

You will need this! Festivals are an all day event where you will be using your cellphone to records sets and take pictures. This charger works with iPhone and Android devices that have the capability to charge wirelessly. Great thing, is you don't need to carry your USB cable.

Liquid IV

Hydrate, hydrate hydrate!!!

Sunscreen

There won't be a lot of shade there. Make sure you bring sunscreen to avoid getting sunburnt.

Rain Poncho

Music festivals are rain or shine. It rained while I was there, so I was thankful, I brought a poncho.

  • Comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet for hours.
  • Paper to write down your friends' numbers just in case your phone dies or you lose your phone.
  • Leave the cash at home. One Music Fest is a cashless event.

The Festival

My overall experience was great. I must admit, I was a little nervous when they moved One Music Fest to Piedmont Park, but everything turned out great. I really liked that once I was inside VIP, I didn't have to leave the area to go back and forth between stages. The sitting area was clutch because my feet were killing me.

The lineup was amazing. I hate I missed some due to performances happening at the same time, but hey that's music festivals. I ate before I arrived at the festival both days, so I can't comment on the quality of food.

I can't wait for the next One Music Fest! I will be attending every year.
