My First Impression

Archer Hotel is located about 15 minutes from Ronald Reagan (DCA) airport, 20 minutes from The National Mall, and 30 minutes from the White House. There is a Metro station that's a 5 minute walk from the hotel if you want to catch the train into DC. Those Uber rides can get costly.

The check in process was very smooth and the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. When I arrived to my room, they had a gift basket and treats for me. This was a very thoughtful gesture.

Room & Amenities

I booked a room that had two queen beds. I noticed there was a door that made the room an adjoining room. So, if you travel with a group, you can request side by side rooms.

I loved the mirror in the bathroom. It had a built in LED light on the mirror that you can control the brightness with. My only wish for the bathroom was a fan to keep the condensation down and a hand held shower hose. Other than that, the bathroom was perfect.

Some amenities included an on site gym, hotel bar, and spa.

The gym offers a few treadmills, bicycle, weight machine, free wights, yoga mats, and exercise balls. I dedicated 30 minutes to get a quick workout in before I started my day.

joylife spa

I didn't have the opportunity to visit Joylife spa, but my cousin did. She said her massage was amazing!

akb hotel bar

The hotel bar was open from 4pm - 10pm which means you could only grab drinks and dinner from the bar. They also have happy hour as well with drink and food specials. I had to go outside to access the hotel bar. There's a bar area to sit as well as tables and booths. The food and cocktails were delicious.

Homegrown kitchen

Homegrown Kitchen provides breakfast and lunch to Archer Hotel guests. There's a back entrance inside the hotel that you can use. The ingredients they use for their meals taste very fresh. The garlic cheese bread was my favorite!
