It's time for my annual girls night event. I started doing at least one big event at my house to spend time with my closest friends. Girls Night is the opportunity to re-connect with old friends or get to know new friends in an intimate setting.
Girls Night Idea
The Invite
I created a digital invitation through Partiful app. I really love this app more than Evite app because it gives you and guests the option to post comments directly in the invitation. I've been taking advantage of ChatGPT more lately. I asked ChatGPT to create an image for my theme. I really loved the pic it created.

Party Theme
This year's theme is Henna & Hues. I went to an event where there were people doing Henna and I thought. oohh, this would be great for girls night. I found Layla on Instagram. I loved the way her designs were and she traveled to you. Last year's theme was "See You in the Nude," but I want bright, warm and inviting colors. I'm letting the girls pick the cold they want. The only requirement is that the color should be bold and bright.
You can see what we did for last year's girls night in here.

Party Favors
Since we're making our own body oil, I wanted something the girls can put their finished oil in along with other goodies. I decided on getting a clear cosmetic bag which will have eye patches for a self care night, their body oil, and I purchased vinyl stickers with their name on it so I could personalized their bag.

How to DIY Body Oil
I've been obsessed with body oil so much that I wanted to make my own. When I saw how easy this is, I decided to make this an activity for girls night in. Body oil perfect for summer because how lightweight but nourishing it is.
Materials:
- A carrier oil. I chose Jojoba oil.
- A variety of essential oils.
- Dropper bottles
Directions:
- Pour jojoba oil into the dropper bottle. Be sure to leave room for your essential oils.
- Next add 6-8 drops of 3 different essential oils you like.
- Shake well before each use.

Food & Drinks
Food was potluck style - appetizers. We had a lot of good food. I didn't want anything too heavy, which is why I went with appetizers and snacks.
I made a specialty cocktail called "Summer Breeze." Here's the ingredients:
- Miagro Reposado tequila
- Sprite
- Trader Joe's watermelon cucumber juice
- mint leaves
