Where to Stay in Miami
Fountainebleau
If you can afford to splurge, this is the place to stay! It’s located in Mid Beach area. When I checked in, they gave me a free upgrade. They offer beach chairs and towels for you to use at the beach. They also have 2 pools,hot tubs and an outdoor bar/eatery. My favorite thing about the hotel is the refresh lounge. Once you checkout, you can still use the hotel’s amenities. Once you’re ready to go, you can use the refresh lounge, which has showers and a locker room for you to change.
Shelborne South Beach
I really liked this hotel because it was closer to a lot of places in South Beach area. This beachfront hotel offers chairs and towels to use on the beach.
Grand Beach Hotel
I had a love/hate relationship with this hotel. The service was lacking. I had to get new pillowcases due to stains, there weren’t any wash clothes, customer service was lacking, and housekeeping didn’t do a good job turning over my room. What I did like about the hotel was I had two bathrooms, ocean view, the pool area was super nice, and they offered chairs and towels to use at the beach. This hotel is also located in Mid Beach hotel.
Restaurants in Miami
Nikki Beach
Nikki Beach is located on the beach. You pay one price for unlimited food and drinks are a la carte. It’s also doubles as a night club.
Victory Restaurant & Lounge
Victory is located in Midtown Miami. Reservations is a must. They offer bottomless mimosas and a live DJ.
Barton G
If you love a good food presentation, then this restaurant is a must. I suggest going with a group. The portion sizes are shareable and the food is good! I think I ordered food, just for the presentation alone, lol.
World Famous House of Mac
If you love mac & cheese, then you should definitely check this out. They have a creative menu and the food was great!
Coyo Taco
For all my taco lovers, go here! President Obama grabbed some tacos here during his visit in Miami.
