When you're traveling out of the country or just to a new area, sometimes your body may not agree with your new surroundings or even the food. I remember when I went to Coachella, my allergies had started flaring up. I wasn't use to the dry crisp air. I was thankful that I had packed some allergy medicine.

This post is all about what to pack in your travel medicine bag.

Travel Medicine Kit List

Your Prescription Medicine

Be sure to pack your regular prescription medication. Make sure you either pack them in their original containers that shows your name and prescription or the actual prescription just in case you get stopped going through TSA if you're flying.

Emergency Contact List

If you ever need to call for help, you need to have an emergency contact list handy for medical personnel to alert your family and/or friends of an emergency. I would suggest writing these contacts down one a notecard.

Pain Reliever

Don't spend your vacation with a headache or joint pain. Pack a pain reliever!

Allergy Medicine

Whether you have sinus allergies or food allergies or not, packing allergy medicine should be a top priority. You never know how your body will respond to a different environment. Some allergy medicine includes Zyrtec, Allegra, or Claritin.

Medicine Bag

Of course you need a dedicated bag to put all of your medicine in.

First Aid Kit

First aid kits are a good start because they typically have everything you need. I always carry a mini first aid kit. I don't know why, but I typically have to use a bandaid on every trip. Some essentials hese first aid kits include wound care supplies, bandaids, cleansing wipes, and sterile gauze pads.

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel is a gel that comes from the leaves of aloe vera plants. Aloe vera gel can be used to treat sunburns, other burns, mosquito bites, and rashes. A very good staple to include in your travel medicine kit.

Anti-Nausea Medicine

I always pack anti-nausea medicine because I get motion sickness on the plane, boat, or sometimes in the car. I usually take some medicine 30 minutes before I'm doing an something that may cause nausea. I use the behind the ear patches when I went on a cruise for the first time because I didn't want anything that made me sleepy and most times Dramamine does.

Sunscreen

Whether you're relaxing on the beach, going on a hike, or just enjoying tourist spots, make sure you grab some sunscreen. You don't want to deal with being sunburned while on vacation.

Probiotics

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that have beneficial effects on your body, especially for your digestive system.
